Rack Side Air Distribution Unit Features

Availability

Dual fans: Delivers air to equipment in the rack where floor tile velocity is inadequate for proper cooling.
Fan control switches: Users can turn one or both fans on and off depending on the heat load.

Agility

Fan guards: A safety measure that provides protection from the fan opening by covering the inlet.
Mounting rails: Adjustable depth allows the unit to fit APC's NetShelter enclosure or other 19" EIA-310-D enclosure.

Total Cost of Ownership

Dual A-B power inputs: Draws power from the UPS for power protection with dual feeds for redundancy.
Air turning vane: Directs air up or down the side of the rack, supplying cool air to the inlet of side-to-side airflow equipment.

Manageability

LED status indicators: Three (3) external status indicator LEDs represent that: utility power is present or the PowerShield is operating on battery; the system is operating as expected and output power is present; and the battery needs to be replaced or has been disconnected.
